Offices are a great space to experiment with moody colors and rich textiles. There’s a lot of potential in this room. It’s very large with tall ceilings so the first thing I would do is add a bigger desk. Adding a larger area rug helps tie the space together and make the entire room feel like an office instead of just the desk area. Pulling colors from the area rug and dispersing them throughout the room helps everything feel cohesive. Plants are a great way of adding color to the room without having to paint or do anything too crazy. Then by hanging curtains you’re complimenting the height of the space and drawing the eye towards the beautiful crown moulding. Adding warmth to the space with gold and wood elements helps make the space feel more cozy and inviting. If you work from home, you spend a lot of time in your office, so you want to make the space your own and make it feel like a creative haven for you to get some work done!
