How to Clean Your Dishwasher

post featured image

We desperately need a new dishwasher but it just isn’t in the budget right now. I have been on the hunt for a way to deep clean it in order to keep it sparkling clean and reduce odors. I found a great way that doesn’t require much.

Things You Need:

Step 1:

If your dishwasher has a filter, make sure you clean it before getting started to remove any extra debris. Sprinkle the baking soda on the inside of the dishwasher making sure you get a decent amount on the bottom where the water drains

Step 2:

Pour 1 cup of vinegar into a dishwasher safe cup and place it in the middle of the upper rack. Run the heaviest cycle on your dishwasher with the highest temperature possible.

Viola!

I could immediately tell the difference in ours after running this cycle. Its best to run a cleaning cycle once a month to keep it smelling fresh and clean!
