When People Magazine reached out for an interview on the DIY hockey rink, it literally felt like a dream 🥹😭✨ I am SO honored to have such a special project featured, when I started DIY in 2019 I never would have imagined that I could build a hockey rink by myself… let alone have it be featured in People Magazine?!

What a wild ride it’s been… in the best way! If you would have told that girl seven years ago, working her regular 9-5 job where she’d be today… I’m so proud of her 🥹  THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for being here everyday and cheering me on through all these years. I promise to never take any of it for granted. 🫶🏼

I was quoted $32,000 to hire someone to build the basement hockey rink and thought… NOPE! So I spent 3 months building the hockey rink of my boys’ dream and it cost me HALF as much as it would’ve to hire it out and let me tell ya… hearing my kids say to their friends “look what my mom built us” is priceless 🥹😭✨

Synthetic Ice: $2,700 (9 Sheets)

Paint: $241 (4 Gallons)

Hockey Boards: $5,700

Glass Brackets: $722

Polycarbonate Sheets: $5,200

LED Light Strips: $46
