I’m so glad I went with 1 beam instead of 3… I just think it works better for this space and looks more intentional. I love the character and warmth that it adds to the space!! What do you think?!

I can’t even believe how realistic this faux wooden beam is even though it’s made out of foam. It’s super lightweight which makes installation so easy! I tweaked the color because it felt a little too warm when it came and I think it’s PERFECT!! 😍

What do you think?! Next up: KITCHEN CEILING BEAMS!

Follow along @comestayawhile to see how the kitchen ceiling turns out! My beams for the kitchen ceiling have arrived but I have a secret 🤫 THEY ARE MADE OF FOAM!! 🤯

I knew that installing beams this big up on the ceiling was going to be a challenge because of how heavy they would be if I used real wood and so I found these that look like real wood, but are actually made of styrofoam and are super lightweight!

I wasn’t able to see a sample so I kind of had to guess on the color and I think I want to tweak it slightly… Do you agree that they should be a little bit lighter/cooler toned?

Make sure that before you paint anything, that you are removing all the fuzz on the new paint roller. Even if it says it doesn’t have any… IT DOES. It takes 30 seconds to wrap it in painters tape to remove anything extra so it doesn’t end up in your first coat of paint. You’ll thank me later 😘
