Winter Fun in Nashville

||Winter Fun in Nashville

In recent years, “Tender Tennessee Christmas” has taken on a new meaning for Nashville.  There may not be as much snow some days, but we’re still a hot spot for winter fun!  And we take the holiday season pretty seriously.  You can take a 30 minute drive down Franklin Road (past Berry Hill, going south to Franklin) and you’ll see some of the most elaborate domestic decorations you’ll ever witness.  We also have a bunch of unique winter activities that are a must for anyone looking for more to do!

A Country Christmas at Opryland

Probably the most common Christmas happening in Nashville, you’ll know your in for a good time just on the drive in from Briley Pkwy.  The lights are astounding, inside and out, the atrium is full of elves and decorations, and the shows range from Cirque Dreams Holidaze Stage Spectacular, ICE! ft. A Charlie Brown Christmas to Diamond Rio Holidays & Hits Dinner Show.  It’s a good holiday.

Snow Tubing and Ice Skating

1.5 million lbs of real snow.  Need we say more? While this is a feature benefit of checking out the Opryland, “A Country Christmas”, we thought it deserved a feature spot on our list because, hey, snow tubing?  That sounds like some legit fun.

Dancing Lights of Christmas

Billed as “Middle Tennessee’s Largest Drive Thru Light and Music Show”, this event is definitely worth a drive out to Lebanon.  And while you’re out there you can get some of that much needed Christmas and Holiday shopping done at the outlets!

A Drag Queen Christmas: The Naughty Tour

Starring contestants from RuPaul’s Drag Race, this holiday show features a series of performances.  It’s downtown at TPAC and is guaranteed fun for you and yours this holiday season.
