When it comes to activities, there’s no shortage in Nashville. We have a lot of great things to do indoors and outdoors, and there are some sort of traditional “Nashville” things that, if you’re from out of town, you may not know about! We thought we’d clue in our visitors and newcomers to some of the fun things you can expect in the coming months.
Symphony at the Park
This is a very cool series of events that our Nashville Sumphony puts on for the community. Each show is free, except where noted, and will feature the same great performers that you can expect from the symphony at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center year round. Once these dates become available, they’ll be listed here, so stay tuned!
Puppets at the Library
If you have young kids and are looking for things to go out and do with them, this may be just the ticket! Story times with puppets are every Tuesday and Wednesday mornings and the stage shows are most Friday and Saturday mornings through the year at the Main Library. More details can be found at library.nashville.org.
Big Band Dances
This summer, every Saturday night, come on down to Centennial Park (at the back) where there are some Big Band dances with big band orchestras playing from 7:30-10 p.m. This happens June through August. These are family friendly nights and include free dance lessons and a different 18-20 piece-band each week. More details can be found at nashville.gov/parks.
