Now that we’ve made it through the frigid winter and the sun is shining on a much more regular basis, it’s time for us to start crawling out of our respective hibernation spots and get back to living. Gone are the days of huddling under a blanket by the fire and here now are the days of sunshine, flowers, and wine! And anyone that says wine isn’t a good indication of Spring hasn’t enjoyed sipping a glass barefoot with the grass tickling between your toes while basking in the warm sun.
If we’ve successfully convinced you to get out of the house with your friends or loved ones, we’ve got a couple wineries in and around Nashville that are absolutely perfect for Spring outings.
Beachaven Vineyards & Winery
Although it’s just a little under an hour to the northeast of Nashville, we had to include a winery that’s been family run for the past 30 years. They’ve consistently received critical acclaim for quality, variety, and consistency due to their many years of experience and mix of old world knowledge and new world technology.
What makes this winery a good choice for outings are the many different events scheduled throughout the year, and Spring is no different. On April 28th, they’ll be hosting the Clarksville Vintage Fair where you can peruse great vintage products and clothing while also enjoying live music and, of course, sampling some delicious wine. And if you love jazz, they have several free Jazz on the Lawn free concert series scheduled on through October.
Belle Meade Winery
One of the main reasons the Belle Meade Winery made our list is the unrivaled experience of touring a 200 year old plantation home that has long been known as much for its rich history and Southern hospitality as it is for its homemade wines.
At the Belle Meade Winery, there are guided tours of the winery, private tastings, and food and wine pairings daily. They take pride in their American South winemaking legacy with Muscadine and Blackberry wines while also providing a wide variety for red, white, and sparkling wines for you to try and buy.
We’re going to end our list of wineries that are perfect for Spring outings with Arrington Vineyards located in the Napa-esque Nashville countryside. With over 92 acres bursting at the seams with a farmhouse that’s been converted into a tasting lounge and cellar, 16 acres of vines weighted heavily with grapes of the chambourcin, vidal blanc, viognier, corot noir, and vignoles variety, there is truly something for every wine lover here.
There are several different locations on the winery grounds that are perfect for weddings, fundraisers, and birthday parties so you may end up finding yourself planning a return visit once you’ve finished the winery and vineyard tours. From a picnic under the stars to a free concert courtesy of the Music in the Vines concert series, you and everyone in your party will be thrilled no matter when you visit.
These are just a fraction of the beautiful wineries in and around Nashville, so your Spring and Summer could be filled up with plenty of outings to one or all of them this year!
